LAX & Seattle stopovers
Arrived in LAX, Saturday 3rd Dec., 1pm (local time) immigration check-in was quite a wait, had to do a photo & finger
print check as part of the new travelling requirements into the US. Then it was
about a 1-2hrs wait to our connecting flight to Seattle flying Alaskan Airlines. It was
a 2hr flight to Seattle. Missed our connecting flight into Alaska due to a hold
up in baggage claims. Fortunately, they were a couple of flights preceding our missed flight
so managed to re-book ourselves to a 9:19pm flight directly to Fairbanks, Alaska. Got into Fairbanks at 12:36am, Sun 4th Dec. Apparently my luggage was nowhere in sight so after enquiries with Alaska Airlines, my luggage was traced in Anchorage, one of the other major cities of Alaska.
Curt was waiting for us at the airport with our winter coats & just a quick peek outside we could see the snow!! Such a breath-taking view!! More later!!
