University of Alaska Internship

This blog is to account for a 2 week internship to be served at the Centre of Distance Education (CDE), University of Alaska, Fairbanks. This internship has been greatly supported by CDE & participants are Anare Tuitoga, Neelam Narayan and Alanieta Lesuma-Fatiaki.

Ice Museum






What can I say!! We were just all stoked by our visit to the Ice Museum in Chena Hotsprings!! Magnificient, sculptured structures of ice of a bar, igloo & bedrooms. We were just awestruck by it all!! Apparently the igloo has very superior acoustic ability so Anare did his rendition of "Amazing Grace" in the igloo just to test it out!! The Ice Museum opens all year around even in summer.

    Hi Ala & co - Debra here in Brisbane. I'm enjoying your vivid descriptions of your stay in Fairbanks - and the terrific photos. Did anyone record anare's version of amazing grace? that would make an interesting podcast :-)
