Meeting with Faculty Deans

Just had a very fruitful meeting with Faculty Deans of the School of Natural Resources & Agriculture Sciences - Dr Carol Lewis (2nd from the right) & Dr. Bernice Joseph (2nd from the left), Dean of the College of Rural and Community Development. In attendance also was Curt & Professor Robert Briggs (3rd from the left) currently visting scholar & researcher in CDE.
Dr Lewis is very impressed with the Para-Vet materials that was produced by DFLSC in conjuction with SPC many years ago. Her faculty is looking into developing a similar course as well & is hoping to solicit our expertise in this area. There is also great interest to do collaborative research in the area of climate change/global warming with our USP academic staff as well - looking at the experiences here in the North & equating that with the experiences in the Pacific. The sucession of meetings that we have been attending so far points to the fact that - UAF & USP have a lot of similiarities & great interest has been showed over this end to expand on this further. There was mention of formalising the collaboration with the signing of an MOU between our universities.
